Sunday Pamper

5 January 2015

This is a sad post to write as it is my last christmas pamper as the festive season comes to a close and the back to school/work blues kick in (cries a bit). Anyway lets enjoy the last moments of it! So I ran myself a bath, lit the christmas candles and gathered together some of my bath time favourites.

Lush - Father Christmas bath bomb
This bath bomb smells basically of christmas, it is at first a sherbet like scent and then as it diffuses into the air it is like christmas spice! It also turned my bath water green with a white fluffy layer of foam like bubbles on top! Amazing.

Candles - Yankee Candle - Sugared apple and Christmas eve
I love burning these two together, the sweetness of Sugared apple and the rich spice of Christmas eve combine so nicely! Mmm! I got so many christmas yankee candle samplers this year that I haven't managed to get through them all. So I guess I am going to have to save them until next Christmas now.

Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
My favourite face moisturizer, use it every day! Leaves my skin lovely and smooth.

Liz Earle - Instat boost Skin Tonic
Liz Earle - Cleanse and Tonic
This Liz Earle cleansing duo is incredible! This is what I use to take my make up off or, like tonight, I sometimes just use it to freshen up my skin. I love it!

Viktor & Rolf - Flowerbomb body lotion
The smell of this body lotion is lovely, very perfume like and girly. My skin is now feeling super smooth.

Lush - Hot Toddy shower gel
This christmas shower gel smells of christmas spices. It is bright red with glitter in! I have been using the famous Snow Fairy shower gel all christmas so I have quite a lot of Hot Toddy left. Hopefully it will keep for next Christmas.

Heres how the bath bomb went...

Did you have a christmas pamper routine? What's your favourite lush bath bomb?

Now I feel like Christmas is officially over. Back to school on Tuesday (cries a lot).

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush + 3 Step Skin Care Review

31 December 2014

Hello everyone, today I have another review for you! This time it is on Clinique's new Sonic System Face Brush and the 3 Step Skin care to go with it. I have been using the 3 step skin care for about 2 months now and have been using the brush for a week. So now I am going to tell you what I think!

Firstly I have had amazing results from using the 3 Step Skincare over these past 2 months. There are 4 different types for different skin types. I am skin type 3 which is combination/oily. You get a face soap, a clarifying lotion and a moisturizing gel and you use them in that order. My skin gets very oily down the T zone which causes my make up to slide throughout the day. However since using this routine the oiliness has been reduced and my make up now lasts a lot longer. My face has less shine and I don't get spots or blemishes often apart from the odd one once a month, which I can live with.

Since getting the face brush I now apply the face soap with the brush instead of a face cloth. I put a bit of the soap onto the middle of the brush and move it in circle motions around my face for 1 minute morning and night. The green bristles are for the T zone and the white are softer and for the rest of the face. I spend a quarter of the time focusing on the T zone with the green bristles as that is where I get most oily. You should not use the brush around the eye area though as the skin there is very delicate. Since using the brush I have found that my skin is left so smooth and feels fresh. The brush gets to places where a face cloth can't and provides a deep, pure cleanse of your pores. It claims to remove oil and dirt lying in your pores in the hard to reach areas. My pores have definitely got a lot smaller and are less noticeable now, which is incredible!

The brush comes with a holder and a charger. To charge the brush you simply sit it in its holder and plug it it. A green light will appear on the hand of the brush when charged. You cannot over charge it. The sonic system is also waterproof which is obvious. After using the brush you simply wash off the soap and dirt from the bristles and shake off any excess waster and leave to air dry. Simple!

So my experience so far with the Clinique Sonic System Cleansing brush and 3 Step Skincare has been great! It does everything it claims to do on the box and my skin has improved so much. The brush is so quick, easy and fun to use. It is gentle on the skin and does not cause irritation. I strongly recommend these incredible products to add to you skincare routine! If you have used this then please let me know your opinions too!

My bedtime beauty routine

28 October 2014

There is nothing we all love more than getting tucked up into bed after a long tiring day. However, we should always resist the urge to jump straight in under the covers before giving our skin its daily pampering. Especially as the winter months are approaching it is very important to make sure we look after our skin to prevent it from dryness in the cold weather. So I am going to share with you what products I use every night before I get into bed.

Firstly I remove my makeup with Estee Lauder's Gentle eye makeup remover. I apply a small amount of this to a cotton pad and wipe off my make up. I love this remover as it provides a deep cleanse and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

Next I fill the sink with warm water, give my face a quick rinse and scoop out a little bit of my face scrub Let The Good Times Roll by LUSH. You only need a tiny bit! I put this in the palm of my hand and mix it with some warm water to create a paste and gently massage it into my face to exfoliate my skin. I then wash this off with a damp flannel. Now, this is the best smelling face scrub I have ever used. If you are like me and love the smell of buttery popcorn then this product is for you. It leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and smooth. Well done LUSH!

After my face is clean I apply a few drops of Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair serum straight to my skin and gently massage all over my face. Hands down, I love this product. My skin feels so moisturized and smooth when I wake up on a morning. The serum absorbs quickly into the skin as it is oil free. It is very hydrating which makes my skin even-toned and radiant. It is very important to use a product that hydrates the skin well before bed as it is on a night when our skin loses most of its moisture and becomes dehydrated as we are not drinking water while we are asleep. However, I can not comment on if this product works for reducing wrinkles and fine lines as I am only 16 and do not have that problem yet! But in my opinion this is a great serum and I never go a night without using it.

I then move on to the Advanced Night Eye Repair serum, again by Estee Lauder. I have previously mentioned in other posts that I get dark circles under my eyes that I absolutely hate! I find that since using this product and drinking a lot of water that they have been reduced. It hydrates the skin around the eyes very well and sinks in fast. One of my all time favourite products by Estee Lauder.

Now that my face has been seen to, it is important not to forget about making sure the rest of my body is moisturized before i go to sleep. At the moment I really like Dove's Silky nourishing body cream. Mostly because I adore the smell! Basically it does what it says on the tub, which is to make my skin feel silky and nourished. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and well hydrated. Great moisturizer, I highly recommend!
