November Favourites

1 December 2017

I am so happy it is finally December! I have so many fun things planned for this month which means lots of blog posts to come.

I haven't done a favourites post in quite a while! But, this month I discovered some products which I have literally been using every day of November so I have to write about them!

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette

The first item on my favourites list has well and truly changed my life for the better. The Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette is the eyeshadow palette of dreams. I have never come across a palette which I adore every single colour that it contains.

The eyeshadows are so easy to blend which means you can easily use a few different shades for one look and they will all blend together seamlessly. They are also very long wearing. The eyeshadows last all day and there never seems to be any fallout (not even from the glitter!). However, I do always make sure I set my makeup with MAC Fix+.

My favourite shades are:
Saffron - Who doesn't love a deep pink eyeshadow?
Cosmo - This one is pure glitter, it is insane. I love dusting this over Saffron.
Angelic - This shimmery pink has gold undertones and it is perfect for a spotlight look.
Celestial - Another gorgeous shimmery pink which looks amazing in the inner corner.
Eden - I think this is the colour I use the most! It is a perfect transition shade and it also looks lovely and subtle on its own, for when I just want something simple.

The range of colours in this palette is just incredible. I am still mostly drawn to the pinks and golds but, sometimes I do step out of my comfort zone and go for the purples!

The only thing I would criticise about this palette is that it isn't as pigmented as I would have hoped. This is fine for the shimmery shades as I just spray my brush with MAC Fix+ first. However, the matte shades, such as Amethyst, don't come out half as pigmented on the eye as they look in the pan. You really have to build up the colour a lot. I think this is due to the eyeshadows being very powdery. When you dip your brush in the pan a LOT of powder comes off. But, this means that they are really easy to blend.

I think I have used this palette just about every day since I got it, and I have only had it just over a month! Below is a photo of the one I use and one that is untouched...

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

This is another product which has actually changed my life (I swear, I'm not even being dramatic). Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream is like no other face moisturiser I have ever used. I have been using this cream every morning and night for just over a month now and I can see a huge difference. My skin seems so bright and rejuvenated on a morning. Even if I haven't had much sleep, it makes me look like I've had a good 10 hours (lifesaver)!

I also love how nice my makeup goes on after applying the moisturiser. I don't even use primer anymore, which I used to swear by. You can still see the amazing glow it gives my skin through my foundation.

It also has anti-aging properties and SPF 15. I have started to join the anti-aging lotions and potions bandwagon. Even though I am only 19 and my skin is still youthful, anti-aging works as a prevention for wrinkles, not a cure! So it is best to start now!

ZOEVA En Taupe Brush Set

I have heard so many good reviews about ZOEVA brushes for years, I can't believe it has taken me this long to get my hands on some! These are hands down the softest eyeshadow brushes I have ever used, meaning they are perfect for blending. These eye brushes are perfect for my Huda Beauty palette! I also love that they come with this little leather bag, which is the perfect size for my handbag makeup. I am kicking myself for not trying these brushes sooner and now I need to invest in some more!

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation

This foundation is a game changer.

I must admit, I didn't have very high expectations for this product when I bought it. I just thought all of the hype was because it is Rihanna's brand. But, oh my god, I was so wrong. This foundation basically makes my skin look exactly how I want it to. It feels so light but it has amazing coverage at the same time. I love how this foundation lasts all day without touch ups while giving off a lovely glow at the same time. The formula is also oil-free which is perfect for me!

I prefer this foundation to the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, which I have been using (and spending £40 a pop on) for years!

The Pro Filt'r Foundation will cost you £23. Which I was amazed at! When I went to buy this foundation in Harvey Nichols I didn't have a clue about the price. I expected it to be at least £40! This is almost half of what I was paying for the Giorgio Armani foundation!

I literally can't fault this foundation at all!

Tatti Lashes - TL3 Luxury Mink Lashes

I came across these lashes on falseeyelashes.co.uk a few weeks ago and I am obsessed with them! I love how long and fluttery they are because of the 3D layers. They also have a whispy look due to the finer hairs. I have worn them about six times so far and they are still going strong! They also come with a little pot of glue, which is always a bonus. These lashes are £9.99 and totally worth every penny!
