August Favourites

4 September 2016

I have been so busy this summer and it has definitely been one of the best summers I have had! I have been on holiday to Lanzarote, to T in the Park and Leeds festival. Throughout the summer I have been swearing by quite a few products and I have narrowed the never ending list down to my favourite 6.

Z Palette
This is one of my favourite buys this summer. I needed a palette I could put all my pans in so I didn't have to carry about 6 different make up palettes with me when I went on holiday. This has made it so much easier as everything I use the most is all in one place. I have my favourite MAC and Makeup Geek eyeshadows, Anastsia Beverly Hills cream and powder contour and my Benefit Hoola bronzer in here at the moment. I just keep swapping products in and out depending on what I am using the most at that time. It is so handy and I definitely need to get some more!

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray
I purchased this salt spray before I went on holiday as I always use salt spray abroad to make my hair have those beach waves we all love in the summer. It was quite pricey at £22.50, however well worth it. My hair had more texture and my natural waves and curls stayed put and were more bouncy. The only problem is now every time I use it at home I get major holiday blues!

Quay Australia Sunglasses
I don't think these sunglasses have left my face all summer, I absolutely love them! They are rose gold, which was the reason I bought them. I wanted something different to my black Raybans that I have had for about 4 years now, and it is fair to say I have definitely got my wear out of them. TopShop now stock Quay Australia sunglasses so you can find them there! These ones were £40.

Tom Ford Moisture Lip Colour - Pipa
This Tom Ford lipstick has probably been my biggest favourite this summer. I never wear peachy pink lip colours but I thought I would try one this summer, but at £39 it was definitely a risk! I also always wear matte lipsticks and this one has a moisture balm in the middle. I loved wearing this shade over the summer when I had a tan and had no other make up on. I definitely don't usually suit these shades but having a tan makes everything look better. I love how it feels on the lips as it is so soft and does not leave my lips dry and flakey like matte lipsticks. The fact that it was moisturising definitely helped in the heat of Lanzarote too. However, I don't think I can wear this colour in England when I don't have a tan so it is getting put away for next summer!

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick - Bond Girl
I love the CT matte revolution lipsticks and I was gutted when I lost my favourite one, Very Victoria. I was going to replace it but decided to try a new shade. Bond Girl is the perfect shade for me as it is a nude/brown with tones of dark red. It goes with everything and I have been wearing it a lot. It stays on for a good few hours without needing to be reapplied and doesn't start flaking off like a lot of matte lipsticks out there. I definitely recommend the CT matte revolution lipsticks!

TopShop Face Glitter
I bought this face glitter last year before I went to a festival and I got it back out again this year for T and Leeds. I love any excuse to go over the top with make up and wear glitter so I went all out and had it on my face, in my hair, on my legs, everywhere basically. Although, George wasn't that happy when he got covered in it as well after the tent got drenched in glitter! It came with a tube of face glue so it was really easy to apply and it stayed on for the whole weekend. Literally it wouldn't come off! The glitter pot and face glue together were only £5 and it has lasted me for 3 festivals! My friends all asked me to do their glitter make up too so I should of just set up a stall! I can't wait for next year so I can use it again, it was so much fun to mess about with.

So there are my August favourites! I hope you had an amazing summer too!
