Strobing has definitely been the obsession of 2016. Having a good highlight is now one of the most important parts of make up. I love highlighters as they are such a pretty and easy touch to add to your make up routine. I have a large and ever growing collection of highlighters and strobe creams but today I decided to mess around with some of my MAC pigments and see what colours and glow I could create. It was so much fun!
I used MAC Strobe cream, this stuff is amazing! I normally put it on under my foundation on my cheek bones or I use it if I'm not wearing any other make up to just add a bit of glow. I always get this free at MAC every time I buy something so I have about 15 little pots of it so there is no need to actually buy big tube of it! I mixed my two fabourite MAC pigments, Tan and Blue Brown, with the strobe cream and OMG it made the most amazing shimmery colours! I then started to add some of Amber Lights and Mythology. I made a orangey gold shade, rose gold and a more pink/purple toned rose gold.
I tested it out on a bare face and the glow was amazing! I am going to start doing this more often as it is really fun and easy to do, and it looks amazing. I felt like I had sort of made my own make up! I did this while I was at T in the park as you can pretty much get away with as much over the top highlight as you want there so I went a bit crazy and also added some glitter!
You can do this with any shimmery eyeshadow or pigment. I just took a little spatula and scraped a tiny bit on the eyeshadow out of the pan. You only need a tiny amount, so don't feel like you are wasting product.
