Blogmas Day 3 - Festive Makeup Look 1

3 December 2016

I have came up with 3 make up looks which would be perfect for parties and nights out over Christmas and for Christmas day itself! I love wearing glittery makeup and the festive period is a great excuse for it. I am going to share the first festive make up look I have created and I hope this gives you some Christmassy makeup inspiration!

For the face makeup I kept it the same for all 3 looks. I used the Hourglass Veil primer, as this is perfect for if you are going out and need your make up to stay as fresh as possible. For foundation I used Charlotte Tilbury's magic foundation, which I am so in love with at the moment. I then used Chanel's Soleil Tan De Chanel to sculpt out my cheek bones and add a bronzed glow to my forehead. I then used Charlotte Tilbury's Bronze and Glow for my contour and highlight. For my brows of course I used Dip Brow in medium brown by Anastasia Beverly Hills. As you know if you read my blog, I literally never use anything else!

For the first look I wanted to create a burnt orange look with some sparkles. This is fairly quick and easy to do! For the eyes I primed my lids with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and set it with the Laura Mercier Translucent Power for my base. I then put Red Brick eyeshaow by MAC all over my lid and blended it out. Red Brick is a gorgeous deep orangey red colour which can work well with lots of different looks. I then added a bit of Bitten shadow by Makeup Geek to the outer corner of my crease to give it a bit of definition, I also blended this shade along my lower lash line. Bitten is a lovely cranberry shade, which is perfect for this time of year. Next I used my Charlotte Tilbury Feline Flick eyeliner to create a wing. This is one of the best eye liner pens I have used; it is so easy to hold and guide along your lid to create the perfect wing. I then put the Estee Lauder black pencil liner along my water line. The next part is my favourite thing about the whole look. I recently purchased one of the Heavy Metal Glitters by Urban Decay and I have literally not stopped using it! I applied the glitter in the shade Distortion to the centre of my lid and brought it upwards. I also added some to the inner corner of my eye. The glitter looks so pretty when the light catches it and I think is what makes this look extra Christmassy! I applied a coat of Benefit's Rollerlash mascara and added a few individual lashes by Red Cherry to make my lashes look extra fluttery. I finished off the look with the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips lipstick in the colour Kim K.W.

I hope you enjoyed this make up post, the next 2 Christmassy looks will be posted throughout December!
