Birthday Weekend at Hotel Indigo Newcastle

25 October 2016

I turned 18 a couple of weeks ago and I can definitely say I had the best weekend of celebrations! I stayed in Hotel Indigo Newcastle with my boyfriend on the Saturday night. We stayed in the 4 feature window room, which was so luxurious. It had a kind sized bed, a mini fridge stocked with alcoholic and soft drinks, a spacious dressing area, fluffy robes and slippers and of course 4 huge windows from the floor to the ceiling with a view of the city. The room was very spacious and completely spotless. The bathroom had a large shower, soft towels and was stocked with Aveda products.
The bed was so comfy and felt huge! Also the location of the hotel is spot on as it is very central.

The decoration of the room was stunning, especially the back wall with a huge image of the ceiling of the Central Arcade. At around 7pm a complimentary bottle of bubbly arrived at our room! The staff were very enthusiastic and friendly, they made sure we knew about all the facilities and benefits that came with our room.

As it was my birthday I obviously had to pack some MOET and champagne truffles!

After checking in we went for a meal in the afternoon at Lola Jeans, which is located on Market Street. I have seen a lot of people write about Lola Jeans and also a lot of Instagram posts, so I thought I'd try it. I had the steak platter and it was really good. However, I did ask for rare but ended up with medium/well done, but it didn't bother me too much. The decor of the restaurant was really funky and the atmosphere was fab. So overall, I enjoyed it and it is a good place to stop for lunch or an afternoon meal.

We then returned to our hotel for drinks and got ready to go out! I wore this gorgeous outfit from House of CB and I am so in love with it. It is called the Franco two piece. It is suede with leather lace up. The quality is amazing and it feels so nice on. It seemed to fit perfectly and felt really flattering. I am definitely going to be ordering a lot more from House of CB! It came beautifully wrapped in a box with a ribbon. I am going to do a post about this outfit very soon.

We went for cocktails in Passing Clouds, which is one of my favourite cocktail bars in Newcastle. It is located in the Bigg Market and only opened earlier this year. If you go you need to try their French Martini, it is to die for and I definitely had one too many! The decor is lovely and their is a good selection of cocktails. Definitely worth a visit!

I had a fabulous birthday weekend, I really recommend Hotel Indigo if you are fancying a classy, luxury stop over in Newcastle. The buffet breakfast in the morning was one of the best I have had in a long time. The food was top quality, no greasy bacon or sloppy scrambled eggs!
