Newcastle breakfast and lunch

9 April 2016

My friend Zoe and I went up to Newcastle last week for a day out and here are the places we ate!

We arrived early so we were both starving and craving breakfast. We ended up in Fenwicks food hall (which you may know from my Valentines Day post that I LOVE Fenwicks food hall!) I was so happy that it was completely empty when we arrived, as it is usually heaving. We had breakfast in the Mason + Rye Bakery cafe. The cafe decor is so modern and relaxing. We both resisted the amazing cakes and got croissants instead, which were freshly baked that morning and were huge! Im craving one now! Along with some sparkling apple juice it was a lovely breakfast to set us up for shopping.

It isn't a shock to anyone that we ended up in Barluga for some lunch. It is my favourite restaurant in Newcastle. It also isn't a shock that I got muscles for my meal! They are the best muscles I have had at a restaurant and are my favourite food. Zoe got a chicken burger which she said was lovely too. We got the window seat in the restaurant area and had big comfy arm chairs to sink in after walking from shop to shop all morning. It was such a relaxing lunch with a few drinks. Zoe was more exciting than me and got the passionfruit fizz cocktail while I just stuck to wine. Barluga is located on Grey Street, opposite the Theatre Royal. I could not recommend a restaurant more!
