The first thing I was desperate to get was the matte lipstick WHIRL. The last 4 times I have been to MAC it has been out of stock. As soon as the woman came to offer her help I asked if they finally had it in stock and I was so happy to hear that I was in luck! The women let me try the lipstick on and I loved it. Whirl is a muted rose nude shade. My nude lip obsession is getting a little out of hand... I have about every shade that is similar to Whirl! Velvet Teddy, Persistence, Taupe, Brave and I love them all.
This brings me on to my next purchase which was the Mineralize Rich lipstick in the shade PURE POUT. It is so velvety and feels amazingly soft on your lips. The colour is a cool beige nude. I decided to try a Mineralize Rich lipstick as my lips are so dry at the moment and sometimes the matte lipsticks dry them out even more. The Mineralize lipsticks are so moisturizing and nourishing.
The eyeshadow pan Amber Lights caught my eye straight away. It is a a light brown shimmer with a peachy tone. I have used it already and it is SO pigmented.
The next thing I picked up was a bottle of Fix+. I have only used it a few times but so far I am impressed! I have previously used the Urban Decay setting spray so I am trying to compare the two. At the moment I feel that they are both equally as good for making sure your make up stays put. I have used Fix+ on my brush before applying my eye shadow, this worked so well with Amber Lights and the lose pigment in the shade Tan. They glided on so smoothly and were even more pigmented and shimmery. I also sprayed it on my Nanshy beauty sponge before applying my foundation and also before blending my cream contour. It worked really well when blending out the ABH cream contour, it made them a lot easier to blend and much smoother. I then finally sprayed it all over my face when my make up was finished. My make up lasted pretty well on a night out so I was happy!
Thank you for reading!
